Seven wards in Surrey are designated town centers: Cloverdale, Fleetwood, Guildford, Newton, South Surrey and the town center encompassed by Whalley.
After Vancouver, Surrey is the most populous city of the 21 municipalities that make up Greater Vancouver and, with a population of over 665,000, the 12th most populous city in the country.
