Our client is looking for a Project Procurement Specialist to join their team in Calgary, Alberta. The role supports procurement activities across major capital and operational projects. The ideal candidate is a commercially minded procurement professional with experience in capital projects, construction, EPC contracts, and vendor management, able to balance cost, schedule, quality, and risk.

Responsibilities:

• Develop procurement strategies aligned with project scope, schedule, budget, and risk.
• Lead sourcing activities, including bidding, negotiations, and contract awards.
• Prepare and manage commercial agreements for supply, construction, and services.
• Advise teams on contract and compensation structures.
• Assess commercial and contractual risks across vendors and project scopes.
• Collaborate with engineering, legal, finance, and project teams on procurement execution.
• Manage procurement of critical and long-lead materials and equipment.
• Monitor supplier performance, compliance, change orders, and contract closeout.
• Provide procurement updates, risk assessments, and escalation support to project leadership.

• 10+ years’ procurement experience in capital projects.
• Expertise in commercial construction projects and sourcing strategies.
• Strong background in contract negotiation, including EPC project experience.
• Proven expertise in supplier negotiation, bid evaluation, contract awards, and purchase order management.
• Knowledge of contract administration, compliance and procurement governance.
• Proficient in ERP and procurement systems.
• Strong vendor management and pricing analysis skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
