    Description

    Hello! My name is Prune, and I’m a Recruitment Consultant at Fed Supply, specializing in recruitment for supply chain, logistics, transportation, and procurement roles.

    I’m currently recruiting a Supply Chain Coordinator for one of my clients, a manufacturing company based in the Lanaudière region, specializing in the design and manufacturing of technical products.

    Mission

    Reporting to the General Manager, your main responsibilities will include:
    • Supervising the purchasing team, supporting its development, and organizing priorities based on production requirements;
    • Defining performance objectives, monitoring KPIs, and leading team meetings to ensure targets are met;
    • Developing purchasing strategies based on the categories of materials and components required for manufacturing;
    • Reviewing purchasing expenses and practices to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve process efficiency;
    • Coordinating procurement activities with production and planning teams to maintain appropriate inventory levels and prevent both excess stock and shortages;
    • Managing supplier tenders and negotiating purchasing terms, including pricing and delivery lead times;
    • Identifying new suppliers, assessing their reliability, and monitoring their performance in terms of quality, cost, and delivery;
    • Monitoring market trends in steel, raw materials, and transportation to anticipate cost fluctuations and supply risks;
    • Collaborating with production, engineering, sales, and finance teams to address operational needs and support improvement and product development initiatives;
    • Contributing to the enhancement of ERP systems, as well as cost analysis, purchasing budget monitoring, and performance tracking.

    Your profile

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with a specialization in Supply Chain Management, or an equivalent qualification in a related field;
    • 7 to 10 years of experience in procurement or logistics, ideally within the manufacturing sector;
    • 3 to 5 years of team management or supervisory experience;
    • Experience in metal fabrication, assembly, or the manufacturing of custom technical products;
    • Good knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and data analysis tools;
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office;
    • Knowledge of Lean principles, inventory management, and procurement practices;
    • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills;
    • Fluency in both French and English required.

    You are a natural leader who can motivate a team, take initiative, and manage competing priorities effectively. Your analytical mindset, attention to detail, and responsiveness allow you to anticipate challenges and implement appropriate solutions. You enjoy cross-functional collaboration and are committed to continuously improving processes and results.

    What We Offer

    • Permanent, full-time position;
    • Annual salary starting at $80,000, depending on experience;
    • Disability insurance and supplementary health insurance;
    • Paid time off and an Employee Assistance Program (EAP);
    • Voluntary Retirement Savings Plan (VRSP/RVER);
    • On-site parking;
    • Company events and activities;
    • On-site position based in the Lanaudière region;
    • A role combining purchasing coordination, team leadership, and procurement optimization.
