Plant Controller

Our client is seeking an experienced Plant Controller to join a manufacturing operation near Kingston, Ontario. This on-site role is ideal for a finance leader who brings strong manufacturing experience and enjoys partnering with plant leadership to drive performance, improve visibility, and support operational decision-making. Responsibilities

·      Partner with senior leaders and operating teams to provide financial insight that supports business decisions. Based on general knowledge.

·      Analyze monthly financial results, explain variances, and identify opportunities to improve profitability and cost management. Based on general knowledge.

·      Lead budgeting, forecasting, and mid-range planning activities. Based on general knowledge.

·      Build financial models and conduct analysis to evaluate trends, risks, and opportunities. Based on general knowledge.

·      Prepare journal entries and reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records. Based on general knowledge.

·      Produce management reports and presentations that translate financial data into clear business insights. Based on general knowledge.

·      Maintain strong financial controls and support compliance with internal policies and reporting requirements. Based on general knowledge.

·      Oversee inventory and fixed asset accounting. Based on general knowledge.

·      Support health, safety, and environmental expectations across areas of responsibility. Based on general knowledge.

Qualifications

·      University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business. Based on general knowledge.

·      CPA designation required. Based on general knowledge.

·      7+ years of progressive financial management experience in manufacturing environments. Based on general knowledge.

·      Strong background in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and cost control. Based on general knowledge.

·      Experience with SAP, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace. Based on general knowledge.

·      Strong communication skills with the ability to influence across functions. Based on general knowledge.

·      Knowledge of plant operations, inventory, and fixed asset management is an asset. Based on general knowledge.

·      Ability to travel occasionally as needed. Based on general knowledge.
