Our client is seeking an experienced Plant Controller to join a manufacturing operation near Kingston, Ontario. This on-site role is ideal for a finance leader who brings strong manufacturing experience and enjoys partnering with plant leadership to drive performance, improve visibility, and support operational decision-making.

Key responsibilities include:

·      Partnering with senior leaders and operating teams to provide financial insight that supports business decisions

·      Analyzing monthly financial results, explaining variances, and identifying opportunities to improve profitability and cost management

·      Leading budgeting, forecasting, and mid-range planning activities

·      Building financial models and conducting analysis to evaluate trends, risks, and opportunities

·      Preparing journal entries and reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records

·      Producing management reports and presentations that translate financial data into clear business insights

·      Maintaining strong financial controls and supporting compliance with internal policies and reporting requirements

·      Overseeing inventory and fixed asset accounting

·      Supporting health, safety, and environmental expectations across areas of responsibility

·      University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business

·      CPA designation required

·      7+ years of progressive financial management experience in manufacturing environments

·      Strong background in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and cost control

·      Experience with SAP, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace

·      Strong communication skills with the ability to influence across functions

·      Knowledge of plant operations, inventory, and fixed asset management is an asset

·      Ability to travel occasionally as needed
