Operations Analyst

Description
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Operations Analyst (IT Focus) to support their IT Director in a newly created role. This position is ideal for a motivated professional with experience in operations, procurement, financial analysis, or IT administration who’s looking to work within a structured, IT-driven environment.
This as a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes—tracking costs, managing vendors, and supporting IT operations—while gaining exposure to leadership and enterprise-level processes.
In this role, you’ll act as a key operational and analytical support to the IT function, with responsibilities including:
- Supporting the IT Director with day-to-day operational and administrative activities
- Performing data entry, reporting, and analysis related to IT costs, budgets, and expenditures
- Tracking, reconciling, and allocating costs (including chargebacks and expense allocations)
- Assisting with vendor management, including contract tracking and renewal schedules
- Supporting software license tracking and compliance
- Coordinating components of IT-related projects (documentation, timelines, tracking)
- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable activities related to IT vendors
- Maintaining product controls and operational documentation
- Preparing and updating reports using Excel (intermediate level required)

- 2+ years experience in operations, procurement, finance, or IT support
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers and reconciliations
- Intermediate Excel skills (lookups, basic formulas, reporting)
- Experience working with vendors, contracts, or invoicing is an asset
- Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Clear communicator who can work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
