We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead the human resources function for a growing, multi-site manufacturing organization within the food and beverage industry. This role is ideal for a hands-on HR professional who thrives in operational environments and brings strong experience supporting unionized workforces.

The HR Manager will play a key role in supporting leadership, enhancing HR processes, ensuring legislative compliance, and helping scale the organization during a period of continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the HR function across employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and policy administration
• Support a multi-site workforce, including union and non-union populations
• Ensure compliance with Ontario employment legislation, labour laws, and workplace safety requirements
• Partner with operations leadership to drive employee engagement, conflict resolution, and performance management
• Support workforce planning and hiring aligned with business growth and expansion
• Manage employee relations matters including investigations, discipline, and workplace accommodations
• Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and compliance documentation
• Contribute to organizational planning, succession planning, and workforce development initiatives
• Support compensation programs, attendance management, and HR process improvements
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and safety-focused workplace culture

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive HR experience within food and beverage manufacturing (required)
• Direct experience working in or supporting unionized environments (required)
• Strong knowledge of Ontario employment standards, labour relations, and HR compliance
• Experience supporting plant-based or operational workforces
• Proven background in employee relations, policy development, and recruitment
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
• CHRP or CHRL designation is an asset
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
