Our client, a growing and expanding food and beverage manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead the HR function across multiple facilities. This is a high-impact role for an HR professional who enjoys partnering with operations, driving workforce initiatives, and serving as a trusted advisor to leadership.

As the organization's senior HR leader, you will oversee all aspects of human resources while playing a critical role in fostering positive employee relations, supporting organizational growth, and ensuring compliance with employment and labour legislation.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership across all areas of Human Resources, including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, training, and policy administration.
• Act as the primary HR business partner to operations leaders across multiple manufacturing facilities.
• Lead labour relations activities, including collective agreement interpretation, grievance handling, labour-management meetings, and contract administration.
• Play a key role in collective bargaining and union negotiations while building productive relationships with union representatives.
• Support both unionized and non-union employee populations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Advise and coach leaders on employee relations matters, performance management, investigations, progressive discipline, accommodations, and conflict resolution.
• Ensure compliance with Ontario employment legislation, labour laws, occupational health and safety requirements, and HR best practices.
• Support workforce planning, talent acquisition, and succession planning initiatives aligned with business growth objectives.
• Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and compliance programs.
• Lead attendance management, disability management, and return-to-work programs.
• Drive employee engagement initiatives and contribute to a collaborative, performance-driven workplace culture.
• Identify opportunities to enhance HR processes, systems, and organizational effectiveness.

• 7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably within manufacturing, food and beverage, consumer packaged goods, or industrial environments.
• Demonstrated experience supporting unionized workforces and managing complex labour relations matters.
• Strong collective bargaining and union negotiation experience is required.
• Thorough knowledge of Ontario employment legislation, including the Employment Standards Act, Labour Relations Act, Human Rights Code, and Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Experience supporting multiple sites and working closely with operations leadership.
• Proven ability to influence, coach, and build credibility with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Strong conflict resolution, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• CHRP or CHRL designation is considered an asset.
