Richmond is a coastal city in the Greater Vancouver region of British Columbia. It occupies almost all of Lulu Island (excluding Queensborough), between the two estuarine tributaries of the Fraser River. Encompassing the adjacent Sea Island (where Vancouver International Airport is located) and several other small uninhabited islands and islets to the north and south, it neighbors Vancouver and Burnaby.
The city is made up of eight local wards: Sea Island, City Centre, Thompson, West Richmond, Steveston, South Arm, East Richmond and Hamilton.
