The forestry industry is also a major contributor to Prince Albert's economy. The city is currently home to the Provincial Forestry Center, a building that houses important types of companies and associations related to wood and forestry.
80 km to the north is Prince Albert National Park. It contains a multitude of lakes, forests and wildlife and its creation has contributed to the development of the tourism sector in the region.
