Treasury Analyst

Description
We are looking for a Treasury Analyst to join our client on a Contract basis in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This role is focused on supporting daily cash visibility, maintaining accurate treasury records, and helping ensure reliable financial reporting. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders and banking partners to investigate account activity, resolve issues, and strengthen day-to-day treasury operations.
Responsibilities:
• Produce and circulate daily cash summaries for leadership, identifying key inflows, outflows, and notable banking activity.
• Perform month-end bank reconciliations and investigate variances to support accurate financial reporting.
• Enter treasury-related journal entries on a regular schedule and maintain complete supporting documentation.
• Review account transactions to assess items such as service charges, foreign exchange impacts, interest movements, and debt-related activity.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external banking contacts to address discrepancies, answer operational questions, and resolve outstanding issues.
• Create and refine treasury monitoring tools, reports, and alerts to improve oversight of cash and banking activity.
• Support payment and banking operations by ensuring transactions are processed accurately and in line with established controls.
• Maintain adherence to organizational policies and applicable regulatory requirements governing treasury activities.
• 3+ years of experience in treasury, cash management, banking operations, or a related finance function.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software systems and banking platforms used for transaction processing and reporting.
• Strong understanding of cash activity analysis, reconciliations, journal entries, and treasury reporting.
• Familiarity with tools such as Bloomberg Terminal and Concur is considered an asset.
• Ability to investigate discrepancies, interpret financial data, and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented approach with strong data processing skills and a high level of accuracy.
• Effective relationship-building skills for working with internal teams, banks, and financial institutions.
