THE ROLE:
Our client is seeking a CPA-designated accounting professional to lead a Record-to-Report team within a dynamic shared services environment. Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will oversee financial close and reporting activities, provide guidance to a team of accountants, and support technical accounting and business initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who enjoys driving accuracy, collaboration, and continuous improvement across finance operations
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of four accounting professionals
• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, lead schedules, and variance analyses
• Support internal and external audit requirements and compliance activities
• Collaborate with FP& A, Tax, Treasury, Procurement, Corporate Development, and other business partners on reporting and strategic initiatives
• Assist with accounting treatment for complex and non-routine transactions in accordance with IFRS
• Contribute to process improvements and help strengthen financial reporting practices within a changing business environment

You are a designated CPA with a strong foundation in financial reporting, technical accounting, and team leadership. You bring a collaborative approach, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships across the organization. Comfortable navigating change and competing priorities, you take initiative, solve problems proactively, and provide the guidance needed to help your team succeed while delivering high-quality financial results

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• CPA designation required
• 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, financial reporting, or public practice audit
• Previous experience leading, supervising, or mentoring accounting professionals
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and technical accounting principles
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with JD Edwards (JDE)
• Exposure to SAP, Hyperion, or Power BI is considered an asset
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate across multiple business functions
• Adaptable and effective in evolving, fast-paced environments
