Robert Half is partnering with a client to hire a Staff Accountant. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys supporting core accounting functions, preparing financial information, and contributing to client service across a range of engagements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries
• Reconcile bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and balance sheet accounts
• Assist in the execution of Notice to Reader engagements
• Prepare personal and corporate income tax returns
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as needed
• Maintain and analyze financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Help prepare internal financial reports and supporting schedules
• Assist with audit support and documentation requests
• Monitor accounting controls and contribute to process improvements
• Support payroll-related accounting activities when applicable

• Previous experience as a staff accountant or similar role
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and account reconciliations
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
