We are looking for an experienced Sr Tax Manager to join a Family Office team in Mississauga. This position is suited to a tax specialist who can lead complex compliance and advisory work while providing dependable guidance to clients and internal stakeholders. The successful candidate will combine strong technical tax knowledge with a practical, client-focused approach and a commitment to quality review standards.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation, review, and finalization of corporate and related tax filings to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance.

• Provide strategic tax guidance to clients by assessing financial information, identifying risks, and recommending practical solutions.

• Oversee review processes for tax engagements, ensuring work is complete, well-documented, and aligned with quality standards.

• Conduct in-depth tax research to interpret legislation, resolve technical issues, and support sound client recommendations.

• Manage compliance activities across a range of tax matters, including sales tax considerations and other statutory reporting obligations.

• Use accounting and tax software such as CaseWare, CCH ProSystem Fx, and related systems to support efficient file completion and reporting.

• Collaborate with audit, accounting, and advisory team members to address tax implications arising from broader client engagements.

• Support process improvements and operational changes within the tax function when required, including updates to internal tools or workflows.

• Mentor team members by providing technical direction, reviewing deliverables, and promoting high-quality client service.

• CPA designation.

• Completed all In-Depth Tax Levels.

• Demonstrated experience in public practice tax leadership, ideally in a senior manager-level capacity.

• Strong working knowledge of tax accounting, compliance obligations, and file review procedures.

• Proficiency with accounting and tax applications, including CaseWare, CCH ProSystem Fx, CCH Sales Tax, and related software platforms.

• Ability to perform technical tax research and translate findings into clear, practical advice.

• Solid understanding of auditing and financial reporting concepts as they relate to tax engagements.

• High level of accuracy, sound judgment, and attention to detail when reviewing complex files.

• Effective communication skills with the ability to work closely with clients, colleagues, and leadership.

• Experience using financial systems such as ADP or similar platforms would be considered an asset.
