We are looking for a Sr. Financial Systems Analyst to join our team in Toronto, Ontario on a short term Contract basis. This position supports the reliability of financial and operational information by connecting data across multiple platforms, improving reporting accuracy, and helping leaders make well-informed decisions. The role works closely with Finance, IT, Operations, and external partners to strengthen reconciliation processes, support planning activities, and deliver clear insights from complex datasets.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee reconciliations across financial and operational systems, including Sage Intacct, Salesforce, and legacy data sources, to confirm consistency and accuracy.

• Analyze variances in general ledger balances, sub-ledger records, and reporting outputs, then identify and resolve underlying data issues.

• Create and enhance automated reconciliation and reporting solutions using Excel, Power Query, and Power BI to improve efficiency and visibility.

• Review large transaction-level datasets to verify completeness, reliability, and alignment with financial records.

• Prepare thorough supporting documentation for reconciliations, journal adjustments, and review activities to maintain audit readiness.

• Work with internal teams to align financial systems and operational data structures while supporting interface and integration improvements.

• Partner with external vendors to refine data exchanges and strengthen the performance of system connections.

• Document Sage Intacct processes, data definitions, mapping logic, and transformation rules to support consistent system use and reporting.

• Evaluate data quality and control gaps, recommend practical improvements, and contribute to ongoing system enhancement initiatives.

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities by providing accurate data analysis and actionable reporting insights.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• An accounting designation in progress or completed is considered an asset.
• 3–5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, reconciliation, or accounting-related work.
• Mandatory experience with fund accounting.
• Demonstrated ability to work with high-volume and complex datasets in multi-system environments.
• Hands-on experience with Sage Intacct, Salesforce, and advanced Excel functions, including Power Query.
• Experience using Power BI or a similar data visualization platform to support analysis and reporting.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to explain technical findings in business terms.
