Sr. Financial Analyst

Description
We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to support financial planning, reporting, and business performance analysis for a manufacturing environment in Mississauga, Ontario. This role will turn financial and operational data into clear insights that help leaders make informed decisions, strengthen forecasting accuracy, and improve overall business results. The successful candidate will work across systems and reporting tools to deliver timely analysis, support budgeting activities, and respond to evolving business needs.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare regular and ad hoc financial reports that translate complex data into meaningful business insights for stakeholders.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and planning activities by gathering inputs, validating assumptions, and monitoring performance against targets.
• Analyze financial and operational results to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that support stronger decision-making.
• Use business systems, and reporting tools to extract, organize, and interpret data from multiple sources.
• Develop and maintain reports using financial reporting tools and related platforms to improve visibility into key metrics.
• Apply data mining techniques to evaluate performance patterns, investigate variances, and support strategic recommendations.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to review financial information, resolve reporting issues, and enhance the quality of analysis.
• Contribute to process and system-related improvements, including documentation and collaboration.
• CPA designated or working towards completion.
• Proven experience in a senior-level financial analysis role, ideally within manufacturing or a related industry.
• Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and performance review.
• Hands-on experience working with business systems and reporting environments.
• Proficiency in developing or maintaining reports.
• Knowledge of data mining methods and the ability to interpret large data sets accurately.
• Demonstrated ability to produce ad hoc financial analysis and communicate findings clearly to business leaders.
• Strong attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
