Sr. Financial Analyst

Description
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and submit monthly claims, reconciliations, and scheduled financial reports with a high degree of accuracy while ensuring compliance with funding terms and reporting requirements.
• Analyze program financial results and produce clear reporting for leadership to support planning, oversight, and decision-making across funded operations.
• Review funding agreements, claim documentation, and contract terms to help confirm that budgets and reporting align with applicable guidelines.
• Coordinate budget development for programs, service contracts, and region-specific funding submissions, including support for annual planning cycles.
• Lead month-end financial activities related to funded programs, including reconciliations, revenue tracking, deferred revenue review, and selected general ledger analysis.
• Investigate budget-to-actual variances and present meaningful insights on financial performance for program areas and related operational portfolios.
• Support business cases and financial modelling for new initiatives or site openings, and monitor financial sustainability after launch.
• Prepare audit working papers, financial schedules, and supporting analysis for external audits and program reviews, while responding to auditor inquiries professionally.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by assisting with accounting policy updates, reporting enhancements, and changes to financial processes or systems as needed.
