    Description

    We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join a growing IT software organization in Vancouver, British Columbia on a Long-term Contract basis. This hybrid opportunity is well suited to a hands-on, detail-oriented accountant who can work with a high degree of independence, contribute quickly, and support a dynamic finance function. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting period-end reporting, and partnering with internal teams across a multi-entity environment.

    Responsibilities:
    • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including preparing journal entries, recording accruals, maintaining the general ledger, and supporting the month-end close process.
    • Reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts on a regular basis, identify variances, and resolve issues to maintain reporting accuracy.
    • Coordinate intercompany accounting across multiple subsidiaries, ensuring transactions and shared costs are recorded in the correct legal entities.
    • Contribute to the preparation of financial statements and assist with consolidation activities for multi-entity reporting.
    • Perform payroll-related reconciliations each month and prepare bonus accruals along with other required closing adjustments.
    • Provide accounting support for U.S.-related entries and reporting requirements within the company’s financial environment.
    • Assist with quarterly financial reporting and deliver reliable accounting support to the Controller and wider finance team.
    • Partner with FP&A and cross-functional stakeholders to supply financial data, respond to reporting needs, and support ongoing accounting initiatives.
    • Support audit requests for subsidiaries and contribute to special projects and other ad hoc accounting assignments as needed.
