Our client a leading Canadian real estate investment company with a diverse portfolio of commercial and multi-family residential properties is looking to add a Senior Accountant to their team due to growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual IFRS consolidated financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Perform consolidations across multiple real estate entities and investment structures.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors during audits and tax filings.
• Review property-level financial results, investigate variances, and support reporting accuracy.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and management reporting.
• Support acquisitions, refinancing, and other strategic finance initiatives.
• Utilize Yardi or similar ERP systems to manage financial data and reporting.

Qualifications

• CPA designation (or near completion).
• 4+ years of progressive financial reporting experience, ideally within real estate or a similar asset-intensive industry.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS financial statement preparation and consolidations.
• Familiarity with Canadian corporate tax compliance, HST, and T2 filings.
• Experience with ERP systems (Yardi preferred).
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
