We are looking for an experienced Solutions Architect: IV to join a solution delivery team in Toronto, Ontario. This Long-term Contract opportunity focuses on turning business and functional needs into practical application architecture that guides development from concept through implementation. The successful candidate will shape solution direction, produce clear design documentation, and recommend technologies that align with technical and operational objectives.

Responsibilities:
• Convert business and functional inputs into end-to-end application architecture that supports project goals and delivery timelines.
• Create architecture diagrams, design documents, and supporting technical artifacts that provide clear direction to development teams.
• Evaluate technology options and select appropriate platforms, integration patterns, and tools for each solution.
• Collaborate with analysts, developers, and stakeholders to ensure proposed designs address requirements, constraints, and long-term maintainability.
• Define API and integration approaches, including REST-based services, to enable reliable communication between systems.
• Guide implementation teams by clarifying design decisions, resolving technical issues, and promoting adherence to architectural standards.
• Review solution components throughout delivery to confirm alignment with performance, scalability, and security expectations.
• Proven experience working as a Solutions Architect or in a comparable applications architecture role.
• Strong ability to translate functional and business requirements into structured technical designs.
• Hands-on knowledge of architecture design principles and solution development practices.
• Experience producing architecture artifacts such as diagrams, specifications, and design documentation.
• Solid understanding of REST API design and system integration concepts.
• Ability to assess technology options and recommend solutions that fit business and technical needs.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
