Robert Half Canada is seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager, Accounting on behalf of a global retail organization. This role presents a unique opportunity to oversee accounting operations, drive financial excellence, and lead a dedicated team within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, general ledger maintenance, and reconciliation activities.
• Develop and implement effective accounting policies and internal controls to ensure regulatory adherence.
• Partner with cross-functional teams including finance, operations, and HR for budget planning and business analysis.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, system enhancements, and efficiency gains.
• Support audits, tax filings, and other statutory requirements.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; CPA designation considered an asset.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities; proven experience mentoring teams.
