Position: Senior Integration Project Manager
Location: Toronto, onsite 3 days per week
Job Type: 12-month contract
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to provide technical and analytical support, perform trouble shooting functions, implement processes, systems or projects that contribute to the efficient and effective technical delivery in the operational areas of Information Technology.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, maintain, enhance Information Technology systems software and hardware in accordance with corporate and security standards, for defined area of expertise
- Analyze business/functional/technical requirements and specifications for the IT Systems
- Support Information Technology System testing, deployment and upgrade activities
- Create and maintain documentation to support IT Systems and Processes
- Design IT solutions in the area of Systems, Systems Integration and Application Development
- Ensure solutions are compliant with IT standards
- Lead vendors, internal developers and system administrators and drive all technical activities pertaining to the projects
- Provide services and solutions to support project delivery
- Proactively identify problems and opportunities for improvement of project delivery, IT Services, systems or processes
- Work in partnership with IT Client Consultant, BA, business and vendors in determining technical options / solutions to meet business needs
- Troubleshoot and maintain IT assets to improve reliability, including capacity, response to incidents and issues resolution, life cycle management/refresh and performance
- Research and identify industry trends (relative to scope of responsibility), leveraging ideas to improve or better align IT systems and services
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or other relevant professional designation
- 7+ years experience in Information Technology (Demonstrated experience in management and improvement of IT service, technologies and process)
- Experience with integrating platforms such as IBM Integration Bus (IIB)/IBM Application Connect Enterprise (ACE).
- Ability to support existing integration as well as design of new interfaces to meet new business needs
- Knowledge of application development and integration with IBM WebSphere Application Server or Oracle WebLogic Server
- Knowledge and experience working with scripting languages such as Python, SQL, Shell Scripting, Batch Scripts
- Knowledge and experience working with Windows and UNIX
- Knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes and best practices for IT Service Management
- Experienced in executing projects with both Waterfall and Agile methodology
- Ability to work in team environment
- Innovation and creative problem solving
- Effective approach to risk management
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Experience in working with Electrical Utilities Operational Technology software is an asset
- Experience in working on any Distribution Management System software tool is an asset
- Experience in working with defect management tool, change management and other project deliverables
- Experience working with Oracle Utility-related products is an asset
- Self-motivated and quick learner
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Understanding of ACE Message Queues, RESTful APIs, and web services
- Understanding of Oracle Field Service Cloud Design Principles and Configuration
- Knowledge of how the platform can be customized and configured to meet various business needs is essential
- Proficiency in developing customizations and extensions using Oracle Field Service Cloud APIs and Java tools
- Experienced in executing projects with both Waterfall and Agile methodology
