THE ROLE:

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant / Financial Reporting Consultant to support a critical initiative converting financial statements from IFRS to US GAAP. This is a hands-on contract role ideal for someone with strong technical accounting expertise and experience navigating complex reporting transitions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the conversion of financial statements to US GAAP
• Perform technical accounting research and document key differences and impacts
• Prepare GAAP reconciliations, adjustments, and supporting schedules
• Partner with internal finance teams to translate accounting policies and processes
• Assist with disclosures, footnotes, and financial statement presentation under US GAAP
• Identify areas for process improvement and support future-state reporting alignment

You are a detail‑driven finance professional with a strong technical accounting background and a passion for working through complex reporting challenges. You enjoy researching standards, building well‑supported conclusions, and translating technical accounting into practical guidance for stakeholders. You are comfortable working independently, managing timelines, and collaborating across teams in a fast‑paced environment.

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• CPA designation required
• Strong experience with US GAAP reporting and IFRS frameworks
• Proven expertise in IFRS to US GAAP conversions or financial statement transformations
• Background in technical accounting research and documentation
• Experience preparing reconciliations, adjustments, and disclosures
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to manage large datasets
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross‑functionally
