I’m currently recruiting for a well-established manufacturing company specialized in heavy welded fabrication projects. The company works on a wide range of industrial equipment used in sectors such as water treatment, transportation, mining and industrial processing.

They are looking for a Senior Estimator who understands the realities of shop-floor manufacturing and can become a strong technical resource internally.

Your Role
In this position, you will be responsible for evaluating and estimating custom metal fabrication projects ranging from repetitive production parts to larger industrial equipment. You will review RFQs coming from project managers and determine manufacturing costs, shop labor hours, subcontracting requirements and material pricing. You will collaborate closely with engineering, purchasing, production teams and suppliers to build accurate and realistic estimates aligned with manufacturing capabilities.

The role requires a strong understanding of:
- Welded fabrication
- Machining processes
- Metal forming and production workflows
- Technical drawing interpretation
- Industrial manufacturing operations

You will also participate in project kick-off meetings and help ensure a smooth technical handoff to internal teams once projects are awarded. This environment is ideal for someone hands-on, autonomous and comfortable communicating with different technical stakeholders.

Your Profile
Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial estimating within metal fabrication or welded manufacturing
Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Good understanding of welding, machining and fabrication processes
Experience estimating custom industrial manufacturing projects
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Comfortable using ERP systems and AutoCAD for drawing review
Knowledge of CWB welding standards is a strong asset
Strong French communication skills and functional English
