THE ROLE:

Calling all Contract Senior Accountants! Our Edmonton‑based client is seeking an experienced Accountant to provide short‑term contract support through year‑end. This role will focus on reviewing the accounting team’s working papers, ensuring accuracy and completeness, and supporting the preparation of final financial statements. In addition to year‑end deliverables, you will act as a trusted resource to the accounting team— mentor and support, providing guidance, answering technical questions, and helping ensure timelines are met with confidence. This is an ideal opportunity for a senior‑level professional who enjoys stepping into critical periods and adding immediate value.

You are a seasoned accounting professional with deep year‑end experience and a strong technical foundation. YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• CPA designation (or equivalent accounting designation)
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with a strong focus on year‑end
• Proven experience reviewing working papers and supporting financial statement preparation
• Strong communication skills with the ability to mentor and support accounting teams
• Hands‑on experience with Sage 50
• Advanced Excel, including pivot tables and lookups
• High attention to detail, strong technical judgment and able to hit the ground running
