Our manufacturing client is seeking a Senior Accountant to support day‑to‑day accounting operations during a short‑term contract period, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent role. This position will play a key role in financial reporting, month‑end close, and cost accounting activities within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and variance reports
• Support inventory accounting, including reconciliations, inventory adjustments, and cost of goods sold analysis
• Assist with standard costing, bill of materials (BOM), and manufacturing variances
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies
• Support audits and internal controls as required
• Collaborate with operations and production teams to ensure accurate financial data
• Assist with process improvements and documentation as needed

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of full‑cycle or senior‑level accounting experience
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
• Solid understanding of inventory, cost accounting, and production processes
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems is an asset
• CPA designation not required (open to qualified non‑designated accountants)
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines
• Hands‑on, adaptable, and comfortable in a contract role
