YOUR ROLE
Reporting to the Sales Director, you will be responsible for the commercial development of your territory and for managing and growing a portfolio of existing and prospective customers.
Your role will combine prospecting, business relationship development, needs analysis and the recommendation of technical solutions adapted to customer and job-site realities.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Developing and executing a business development plan for your territory;
• Actively prospecting for new customers, projects and markets;
• Growing existing accounts and identifying their development potential;
• Regularly visiting customers, job sites and other market participants;
• Understanding customer applications, job-site conditions and objectives;
• Recommending the most appropriate products, equipment and technical solutions;
• Managing the sales cycle from the identification of a need through closing and after-sales follow-up;
• Preparing the information required for quotations and ensuring rigorous follow-up;
• Coordinating demonstrations, training and required technical interventions;
• Working closely with inside sales, technical service, logistics and management;
• Keeping customer, project, quotation and sales activity information current in the company’s management systems;
• Producing reliable sales forecasts and reporting on the development of your territory;
• Representing Geroquip professionally with customers, suppliers and partners.
YOUR PROFILE
We are seeking an autonomous, organised and results-oriented professional who enjoys developing lasting business relationships and understanding the technical realities of customers.
You possess:
• A minimum of five years of B2B sales experience;
• Demonstrated experience in prospecting and market development;
• Professional experience in the construction, concrete, building materials or related equipment industries;
• The ability to understand, explain and present technical products and solutions;
• Excellent organisational, prioritisation and follow-up skills;
• Strong communication, negotiation and business relationship development abilities;
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, and the ability to work effectively with an ERP and order management system;
• A valid driver’s licence and the availability to spend 70% to 80% of your working time on the road;
• Excellent spoken and written proficiency in both French and English.
