We are looking for a Report Developer to join a long-term contract assignment based in Toronto, Ontario. This role will focus on supporting and enhancing an established forecasting application through upcoming planning and budget cycles, with an emphasis on stability, responsiveness, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will step into a hands-on environment where they can quickly understand an existing solution, work closely with business partners, and deliver practical results with minimal ramp-up time.

Responsibilities:
• Lead the next phase of improvements for the forecasting application by designing, building, and refining new features within the Microsoft Power Platform environment.
• Maintain the live application and provide day-to-day production support to keep the solution dependable during critical forecasting and budgeting periods.
• Investigate technical and data-related issues, identify root causes, and implement effective fixes to reduce disruption for users.
• Partner directly with stakeholders to gather business needs, translate them into workable solutions, and deliver updates that align with operational priorities.
• Manage development activities independently while taking ownership of the application’s ongoing performance, usability, and reliability.
• Assist end users throughout forecast and budget cycles by addressing questions, resolving functional concerns, and improving the overall user experience.
• Work with Dataverse structures, workflows, and connected data sources to ensure the application functions accurately and efficiently.
• Participate in knowledge transfer activities and review available documentation to become productive quickly within the existing solution landscape.
• 5+ years of development experience, including strong hands-on work with Microsoft Power Apps, particularly Canvas Apps and related application development.
• Proven capability with Microsoft Dataverse, including data modelling, configuration, and issue resolution within a production environment.
• Solid experience building and supporting workflows and integrations using Microsoft Power Automate.
• Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, data manipulation, Power Query, and integration with Power Platform tools.
• Ability to assess an existing application rapidly, take ownership of support and enhancement work, and contribute independently with limited onboarding.
• Strong communication skills and experience working directly with business stakeholders to define requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Exposure to Power BI and SharePoint, with the ability to apply that knowledge in a broader reporting and application support environment.
