I am currently partnering with a well-established North American food manufacturing organization recognized for its large-scale production capabilities and distribution footprint.
As regulatory complexity continues to increase across Canada and the United States, the company is looking to strengthen its regulatory leadership at a strategic level.
This is an opportunity for a senior regulatory professional who wants to influence compliance strategy while remaining close to real manufacturing operations.
Your Role
Reporting to the VP of Quality & Regulatory, you will lead the regulatory strategy across North America.
Key responsibilities include:
• Defining and executing the North American regulatory roadmap
• Ensuring ongoing compliance with FDA, CFIA and applicable provincial/state regulations
• Overseeing product registrations, regulatory submissions and market access documentation
• Reviewing ingredient declarations, nutritional claims and labeling compliance
• Leading and developing a team of 5–6 regulatory professionals
• Structuring internal regulatory processes and setting clear priorities
• Monitoring regulatory updates (FSMA, Safe Food for Canadians Regulations, BRCGS, allergens, import/export, etc.)
• Assessing operational impact of regulatory changes
• Partnering closely with Quality, R&D, Operations, Marketing and Sales
• Acting as primary liaison with regulatory authorities
• Representing the organization with external stakeholders and industry associations
This is a leadership position combining strategic influence with strong operational involvement.
Your Profile
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry, Regulatory Affairs or related field
• 8–12 years of regulatory experience in food manufacturing or highly regulated CPG environments
• Strong knowledge of FDA, CFIA, SFCR (RSAC), FSMA and food legislation frameworks
• Familiarity with BRCGS standards
• Experience supporting multi-site operations across Canada and the U.S.
• Proven team leadership experience
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills in both English and French

Working Conditions
• Base salary between $110,000 and $140,000 (up to $150,000 depending on experience)
