Robert Half is partnering with a client looking to add a Property Accountant to their growing Finance team. This is a full-time/permanent position on site.

Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle accounting for a diverse portfolio of commercial properties.
• Perform month-end close activities, including reviewing journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and amortization schedules.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Complete daily and monthly bank reconciliations, including investigating, following up on, and resolving outstanding items.
• Maintain and monitor the general ledger and chart of accounts to ensure accurate classification of transactions.
• Partner closely with property management teams to address inquiries and resolve day-to-day accounting issues, including unpaid rent matters.
• Prepare and file all property HST remittances in an accurate and timely manner.
• Support the annual budgeting process, including preparing and distributing rental statements for the upcoming year.
• Complete year-end operating cost reconciliations.
• Ensure new rental notices are issued to tenants in accordance with the upcoming year�s operating budget.
• Provide accurate and timely financial information to internal stakeholders, tenants, and other external parties as needed.
• Collaborate with team members on accounting matters, offering guidance and responding to questions.
• Assist with additional accounting duties and special projects as required.
