We are looking for a Payroll Analyst to support payroll operations for our client in Toronto, Ontario. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who combines strong technical payroll knowledge with hands-on experience using leading payroll and accounting platforms. The successful candidate will help ensure employees are paid accurately and on time while supporting compliance, benefits administration, and payroll reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with payroll system updates or related process changes as needed while minimizing disruption to ongoing operations.

• Process bi-weekly payroll for a large, multi-provincial payroll across Canada

• Handle employee payroll inquiries through ticketing system

• Pull and balance employee hours

• Verify payroll taxes and ensure payroll accuracy

• Process union payroll across multiple unions

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address payroll inquiries and improve day-to-day payroll processes.

• 3–5+ years of high-volume Payroll experience required

• Bilingualism (English/French) is considered a very strong asset!

• Knowledge of Canadian payroll regulations

• Experience with union payroll is preferred

• Strong reporting and data analysis skills

• Proficiency with Payroll systems

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

• Team-oriented with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges
