Description
An established investment management firm is seeking a driven, relationship-focused Regional Associate to join its growing Canadian sales team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious sales professional looking to make a meaningful impact while working alongside experienced sales leaders in the financial services industry.
Based in Toronto, with flexibility for candidates located in Montreal, this role partners closely with senior sales professionals to develop and execute regional business development strategies. The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding relationships within the financial advisor community and supporting the growth of a well-respected investment platform across a designated territory.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys proactive outreach, building professional relationships, uncovering opportunities, and contributing to a collaborative, high-performance sales environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support business development and sales growth within an assigned territory.
- Conduct proactive outreach through phone calls, email campaigns, and virtual meetings with financial advisors, associates, and other industry contacts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective advisor partners.
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities and contribute to a robust sales pipeline.
- Schedule advisor meetings, presentations, and educational events.
- Follow up on marketing initiatives, campaigns, webinars, and other engagement activities.
- Partner with senior sales professionals to advance and close opportunities.
- Respond to advisor inquiries and provide exceptional client service.
- Assist with the coordination and preparation of both virtual and in-person meetings and presentations.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, opportunities, and activity within the CRM system.
- Develop a strong understanding of the firm's investment solutions, market positioning, and value proposition.
- Contribute actively to team discussions, share best practices, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1+ years of sales, business development, or client service experience within the investment, wealth management, or broader financial services industry.
- Understanding of the Canadian financial advisor landscape, investment products, and capital markets.
- Existing relationships within the financial advisor community are considered an asset.
Skills & Competencies
- Fluency in both English and French is required.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and active listening skills.
- Proven ability to work toward and achieve sales targets.
- Highly organized with strong time management and prioritization skills.
- Comfortable using CRM platforms and virtual presentation tools.
- Customer-focused with a professional and consultative approach.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Adaptable, coachable, and receptive to feedback.
- Demonstrates professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.
Preferred Industry Designations
Completion of, or progress toward, industry designations such as CSC, CIFC, CIM, CFP, or CFA is considered an asset.
