We are looking for an experienced Network Consultant to support a construction and contractor-focused organization in Vaughan, Ontario. This contract position begins with an initial four-month term and may continue beyond that period, offering the opportunity to contribute to ongoing network initiatives in a dynamic, expanding environment. The successful candidate will take a hands-on approach to network delivery, working closely with internal technical teams to strengthen infrastructure performance, resolve complex issues, and support multi-vendor network operations.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and recommend network architectures that align with operational needs across a range of vendor technologies.

• Evaluate existing environments and help connect site or client networks into the broader enterprise infrastructure.

• Install, configure, and roll out network hardware and related components to support business operations.

• Investigate connectivity and performance issues, identify root causes, and restore stable network service efficiently.

• Work with equipment manufacturers and external support teams during escalations to resolve technical challenges.

• Partner with network staff and project teams to deliver infrastructure upgrades, enhancements, and day-to-day operational support.

• Provide practical technical guidance and dependable execution in a collaborative team setting.

• Travel occasionally for short-term assignments, including visits of up to two weeks when required.

• At least 7 years of experience in network engineering, network administration, or consulting roles.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing, deploying, and supporting network infrastructure in complex environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco, Aruba, Cisco Meraki, and Fortinet technologies.
• Ability to work effectively across multi-vendor network platforms and adapt to varied technical environments.
• Solid troubleshooting skills related to routers, switches, firewalls, servers, and network-connected hardware.
• Familiarity with configuration management practices and general infrastructure support tools.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams and external vendors.
