We are looking for a skilled Litigation Associate to join a leading litigation boutique in Toronto, Ontario. This role offers an opportunity to work alongside highly accomplished legal professionals, providing exceptional service to clients in complex commercial and civil litigation matters. Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in complex commercial and civil litigation cases, ensuring their interests are effectively advocated.

• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to build strong case strategies.

• Draft and review pleadings, motions, and other legal documents with precision and attention to detail.

• Collaborate with senior lawyers and other team members to develop and execute litigation plans.

• Attend court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations to present arguments and negotiate resolutions.

• Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates and address any concerns.

• Prepare for and engage in trial proceedings, including examination of witnesses and presentation of evidence.

• Stay current with legal developments and case law to enhance expertise and support client needs.

• Manage deadlines and prioritize tasks to ensure timely and efficient handling of cases.

• Uphold the highest standards of professionalism and ethics in all interactions.

• A minimum of one year of experience in litigation, with a focus on commercial and civil cases.
• Strong understanding of complex commercial litigation processes and strategies.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and address client needs.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and drafting techniques.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present arguments effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• A commitment to maintaining attention to detail and delivering high-quality legal services.
• Licensed to practice law in Ontario and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
