Our client is anticipating a future need for a Junior Accountant to join their team in Calgary, Alberta. This is a great opportunity for an early-career accounting professional looking to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Reconcile bank and balance sheet accounts
• Assist with financial reporting and analysis
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records
• Support audits and other ad hoc accounting tasks as required

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 1+ years of accounting experience (co-op or internship considered)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and ability to work in a team environment
• Eagerness to learn and grow within an accounting role
