    HR & People Operations Manager

    The Opportunity

    A growing organization is seeking an experienced HR & People Operations Manager to support and strengthen its people function. Reporting to senior leadership, this role will oversee the employee lifecycle and contribute to the development of people programs, policies, and systems that support organizational effectiveness and employee experience.

    This opportunity is well suited for an HR professional who is comfortable working in an evolving environment, enjoys creating structure, and can contribute across a broad range of Human Resources responsibilities.

    Key Responsibilities

    HR Operations

    • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, employment documentation, and employee records.
    • Coordinate payroll, compensation administration, and related employee processes.
    • Support compliance with applicable employment legislation and HR practices.
    • Develop, maintain, and update HR policies, procedures, and internal documentation.
    • Serve as a resource for employee and manager HR-related inquiries.

    Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

    • Lead full-cycle recruitment across a range of functions and levels.
    • Partner with leaders to identify hiring needs and support workforce planning activities.
    • Improve hiring processes, candidate experience, and recruitment practices.
    • Build and maintain talent pipelines to support future hiring needs.

    Performance Management & Employee Development

    • Support performance management programs and assist leaders with goal setting, feedback, coaching, and development planning.
    • Identify learning and development opportunities that support employee growth and organizational needs.
    • Encourage ongoing feedback and professional development practices.

    Employee Experience & Culture

    • Support employee engagement initiatives and workplace culture efforts.
    • Administer employee feedback programs, surveys, and recognition initiatives.
    • Support retention, team effectiveness, and employee engagement strategies.
    • Coordinate internal events, team-building activities, and culture-related programs.
    • Partner with leadership to support an inclusive, collaborative, and respectful work environment.

    Strategic HR Partnership

    • Provide guidance to leaders on employee relations, organizational effectiveness, and people-related matters.
    • Contribute to organizational planning, change management, workforce planning, and organizational design discussions.
    • Align people programs and HR initiatives with business priorities.

    Projects & Process Improvement

    • Participate in cross-functional projects related to operational improvement and organizational growth.
    • Support process improvement initiatives and internal planning activities.
    • Collaborate with leaders and stakeholders on strategic projects and evolving priorities.



    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources or People Operations experience.
    • Experience supporting both strategic HR initiatives and day-to-day HR operations.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement HR processes, programs, and systems.
    • Experience working in fast-paced, evolving, or growth-oriented environments.
    • Strong recruitment and talent acquisition experience.
    • Knowledge of employment legislation and HR practices.
    • Strong communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Sound judgment, professionalism, and ability to manage confidential information.
    • Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable working independently.

    Preferred Experience

    • Experience operating as a standalone HR professional or leading a broad HR function.
    • Experience implementing performance management frameworks and employee development programs.
    • Background in employee engagement, organizational development, or culture initiatives.
    • Experience introducing or improving HR technology and people systems.
