Description
A premier golf, hospitality, and event destination nestled in the scenic Fraser Valley is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join the team. Known for exceptional guest experiences, fine dining, accommodation, and a breathtaking natural setting, the organization is dedicated to delivering outstanding employee and guest experiences.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape HR practices, influence a collaborative workplace culture, and further their own leadership development in a dynamic hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary HR resource for all departments, providing expert guidance throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Lead end-to-end recruitment, including job design, postings, onboarding, and offboarding. Manage seasonal and high-volume hiring, ensuring compliance with relevant employment standards.
- Coach and advise managers in performance management, employee engagement, conflict resolution, and progressive discipline, upholding fairness and consistency.
- Maintain and update HR policies and procedures to ensure statutory compliance and alignment with organizational values.
- Oversee workplace health, safety, and wellness initiatives, including compliance audits and staff training.
- Support and track leadership and employee training, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Partner with Finance to ensure accurate payroll, compensation reviews, and benefits coordination.
- Generate HR metrics and insights, and support continuous improvement projects.
What We Are Looking For:
- 5–7 years of progressive HR experience managing a broad range of functions.
- Strong knowledge of BC employment legislation and HR best practices.
- Experience in high-volume, seasonal, or unionized environments.
- Hospitality background is an asset.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to balance strategic planning and hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.
- Professionalism, integrity, and discretion in managing sensitive information.
- CPHR designation or candidacy is considered an asset.
