THE ROLE:

We’re partnering with a client seeking a Contract Functional Business Analyst who brings a strong blend of accounting knowledge and system implementation experience.

This role is ideal for someone who can bridge finance and technology, translating business needs into functional solutions and driving successful implementations.

Key highlights:

• Lead and support financial system implementations / enhancements
• Collaborate with Finance teams on GL, reporting, and process improvements
• Support testing, data validation, and go-live activities
• Work closely with stakeholders across finance and IT

You are a detail-oriented and solutions-focused professional who brings both accounting expertise and hands-on system implementation experience. You are comfortable engaging with stakeholders across finance and IT, managing competing priorities, and navigating complex projects. You thrive in collaborative environments and can clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders while keeping projects on track.

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Strong background in accounting or finance (CPA/CGA preferred)
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst supporting system implementations
• Experience with financial systems, including GL, subledger, and reporting environments
• Hands-on experience with UAT, data validation, and system go-live activities
• Proven working success in driving projects, managing stakeholders, and delivering results
• Ability to identify gaps and drive solutions across data, reporting, and processes
• Experience working with third-party vendors and stakeholders across finance and IT
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Knowledge of grant management or fund accounting is an asset
• Strong project coordination or project management exposure (preferred)
