Fractional Controller

Description
Responsibilities:
• Oversee day-to-day accounting activities and help maintain accurate, well-organized financial records.
• Process payroll in QuickBooks for employees, ensuring timely and accurate payment administration.
• Lead month-end close activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and preparation of financial reports.
• Monitor financial information for accuracy and identify discrepancies that require correction or follow-up.
• Provide ongoing controller-level support on a fractional schedule, with flexibility to contribute additional time during busier periods.
• Maintain strict confidentiality when handling payroll, financial data, and other sensitive business information.
• Collaborate with leadership to support financial decision-making and keep essential accounting processes running smoothly.
• Designated CPA or equivalent,
• Proven experience in a Controller or senior accounting capacity with responsibility for core accounting functions.
• Hands-on knowledge of payroll administration, including direct experience using QuickBooks.
• Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy in financial work.
• Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Availability to work on a part-time, fractional basis and remain reachable during agreed core business hours.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a respectful, dependable approach to working with internal stakeholders.
