Our client is a growing Canadian multi-unit consumer business seeking a Financial Analyst to join its finance team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with leadership and cross-functional departments, providing financial insights that support operational performance, strategic decision-making, and continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly, monthly, and ad hoc sales and performance reports for leadership.
• Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate business initiatives and support decision-making.
• Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Analyze financial and operational data, providing meaningful insights and recommendations to management.
• Perform full-cycle accounting responsibilities for multiple operating locations, including preparation and review of profit and loss statements.
• Support the administration and maintenance of management reporting tools and databases.
• Partner with Finance, Operations, and Marketing teams to monitor business performance and identify trends.
• Conduct sales, margin, and operational performance analysis.
• Evaluate the effectiveness and financial impact of business initiatives and growth strategies.
• Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives as required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, FP& A, or a related finance function.
• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to take ownership of projects and initiatives.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Advanced Excel skills are considered a strong asset.
