We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join a growing manufacturing business in Vancouver, British Columbia. In this newly established role, you will work closely with the Group Controller to strengthen planning and analysis, improve financial visibility, and provide decision-ready insights to leaders across the organization. This opportunity is well suited to someone who combines solid accounting knowledge with strong analytical skills and an interest in understanding how operational performance shapes business results.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and support monthly and quarterly reporting activities, with particular attention to manufacturing performance, inventory movement, and product-related results.
• Work collaboratively with international finance partners to improve the accuracy, consistency, and turnaround time of financial information.
• Develop and refine forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis models to support planning and performance management.
• Translate financial outcomes and operating trends into clear, practical insights for teams outside of finance.
• Establish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators related to production efficiency, fulfilment, and shipping performance.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows across finance and operations, then help put effective improvements into practice.
• Assist with accounting and planning activities as needed, including support for close processes, journal entries, and other reporting requirements.
• Take on increasing responsibility for day-to-day finance operations to support the Controller and create capacity for broader strategic initiatives.
• Link financial analysis to operational decision-making by highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities that affect overall business performance.

• At least 3 years of experience in a financial analysis or accounting role, preferably within manufacturing or a related product-based environment.

• Strong grounding in accounting principles, combined with a genuine interest in planning, forecasting, and operational analysis.

• Proven ability to build and maintain financial models using Microsoft Excel for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting purposes.

• Experience explaining variances, trends, and results to both finance professionals and non-financial stakeholders.

• Demonstrated interest in improving processes, enhancing reporting, and creating more efficient ways of working.

• Hands-on approach with the flexibility to support both analytical work and day-to-day accounting tasks when required.

• Familiarity with accounting or ERP platforms such as QuickBooks or Business Central would be considered an asset.

• Ability to create dashboards and analyze data to support informed business decisions.
