Position: ERP Data Migration Consultant
Location: Toronto, Remote
Job Type: 12-month contract
Our client, a prominent accounting organization, is seeking an ERP Data Migration Consultant to be part of the implementation of D365 Finance and Anaplan.
The ERP Data Migration Consultant oversees the seamless transfer of data from the existing ERP system to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Anaplan, ensuring adherence to quality standards through approved protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Lead data readiness activities for a workstream, including assessment, cleansing, and enrichment.
- Liaise with System Implementation partner to determine future state data readiness requirements.
- Maintain the data readiness backlog, documenting tasks for both self and business SMEs.
- Document business requirements for migration to the target state.
- Document source to target mapping for migration and assess data gaps.
- Document business requirements for data retention.
- Guide and assist business SMEs in documenting data standards and rules.
- Work with ERP architecture team to identify and review integration points.
- Design, develop, and execute data quality tests.
- Collaborate with ERP data workstream analysts to ensure consistent data analysis documentation.
Must have:
- Must have 10+ years’ experience writing complex queries, stored procedures and functions within a SQL Server environment.
- 5+ years’ experience with data migrations.
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Computer Science or equivalent; QA Certification with ISTQB or QAI, is an asset.
- In-depth understanding of software development life cycles including Agile, project execution including software testing practices.
- Knowledge of software configuration and release management methodologies.
- Experience in interacting and coordinating data migration activities amongst multiple teams and ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising and communicating with Business Systems, and internal stakeholders and departments.
