PLANT AND BUILDING MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Are you a senior electromechanic who's tired of being stressed out on production lines? Would you like an opportunity that allows you a tremendous amount of variety without the constant stress of having to repair machines in production? If so, then we have the job for you ! Our client is a leading automated machine manufacturer situated in the east end of Montreal serving a global clientele. They are looking for a senior electromechanic to replace a person retiring after 18 years with the company ( ! ). Besides the odd soldering machine that needs to get fixed on occasion, you will look after all the building and plant maintenance, including the HVAC system, lighting or other aspects by yourself or through a subcontractor. You will need to have an open, friendly personality to engage with different people, be autonomous and be a good listener, mature, organized, and be able to plan your work day. You will also need to be computer literate to research any subcontractors, or fill out Excel spreadsheets. You may need to stay late on the rare occasion if a shipment needs to go out and you need to oversee the work of a subcontractor to repair the overhead crane. Otherwise, a steady, easy-going job with lots of variety with the prospect of many years of steady employment in a friendly fabrication environment.
Salary $28-$30 per hour plus excellent group benefits and pension. Dental insurance, disability insurance, life insurance, vacation and compensatory leave, corporate events, Employee Assistance Program, group RRSP and plenty of free parking on site. 40 hours of work per week, and Friday afternoons not worked all year round.
