About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Dispatcher / Logistics Coordinator to support daily transportation, moving, and fleet operations. This role is responsible for coordinating drivers, crews, trucks, equipment, and customer schedules to ensure efficient service delivery and exceptional customer satisfaction.

The Dispatcher serves as the central point of communication between drivers, moving crews, customers, and operations teams. The successful candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, sound decision-making abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced logistics and transportation environment where priorities can change quickly.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and dispatch drivers, moving crews, trucks, and equipment to meet daily transportation and customer service requirements.
• Schedule routes, allocate resources, and support efficient fleet utilization across multiple jobs and service locations.
• Monitor daily transportation and moving operations, proactively addressing service disruptions, delays, equipment issues, and staffing challenges.
• Maintain real-time communication with drivers, crews, customers, and internal stakeholders throughout the day.
• Adjust schedules and dispatch assignments as required to accommodate changing customer needs and operational priorities.
• Track job progress and ensure moves and deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
• Enter, update, and maintain accurate information within dispatch, transportation management, and scheduling systems.
• Respond to customer inquiries, resolve service issues, and provide timely updates regarding job status and scheduling changes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, transportation regulations, safety standards, and operational procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and service excellence.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in dispatching, logistics coordination, transportation operations, routing, scheduling, fleet management, or a related field.
• Experience within the moving, transportation, trucking, logistics, home delivery, courier, field service, or construction industries is considered a strong asset.
• Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and make effective decisions in a fast-paced operations environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer service orientation.
• Comfortable using dispatch software, scheduling systems, GPS tracking platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing demands while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
