THE ROLE:

We are seeking a strategic and collaborative Director, Data Governance & Analytics to lead the evolution of enterprise data governance, analytics, business intelligence, performance measurement, and regulatory reporting. This role partners closely with senior leaders, operational teams, and IT to drive data-informed decision-making across the organization.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading enterprise analytics strategy and maturity.
• Strengthening data governance, quality, standards, and accountability.
• Advancing business intelligence, reporting, and performance measurement.
• Building data literacy and self-service reporting capabilities.
• Translating organizational and regulatory priorities into actionable insights.
• Providing strategic direction on analytics platforms and technology.
• Partnering with IT on data architecture, pipelines, and reporting infrastructure.
• Leveraging Power BI, SQL, Azure, and emerging analytics technologies.
• Building consensus and shared ownership of data and reporting.
• Supporting executive and governance-level decision-making.
• Leading, coaching, and developing a high-performing analytics team.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

Top Skills & Qualifications:

• 10+ years of progressive experience in analytics, business intelligence, reporting, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in analytics, business, economics, statistics, public administration, or a related discipline.
• Strong expertise in data governance, business intelligence, and performance measurement.
• Proficiency with Power BI, SQL, data visualization, and dashboarding.
• Experience developing analytics strategies, governance frameworks, and reporting capabilities.
• Strong strategic and systems thinking with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, consensus-building, and communication skills.
• Proven leadership experience with a focus on coaching and team development.
• Knowledge of analytics platforms, data architecture, and technology strategy.
• Experience leading modernization, transformation, or analytics maturity initiatives considered an asset.
• Experience with Azure, dimensional modelling, or AI-enabled analytics considered an asset.
