We are looking for a Data Warehouse Application Support specialist to join a service-focused team in Thornhill, Ontario. This role supports data warehouse operations, reporting, and analytical processes while helping ensure data reliability and timely issue resolution. The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise with clear communication, sound documentation practices, and the ability to work effectively in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities:

• Support day-to-day operation of data warehouse applications by investigating issues, resolving defects, and maintaining stable system performance.

• Develop and enhance Python-based scripts and processes to automate support activities, data handling, and operational tasks.

• Write and optimize SQL queries across Oracle and SQL Server environments to troubleshoot data issues and validate results.

• Build, update, and maintain dashboards, reports, and Power BI deliverables that support business visibility and decision-making.

• Monitor ETL workflows, including SSIS-related processes, to identify failures, coordinate fixes, and improve data flow reliability.

• Produce clear technical documentation for support procedures, reporting logic, recurring issues, and resolution steps.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile delivery settings, participating in planning, tracking, and continuous improvement activities using tools such as JIRA.

• Contribute to quality assurance efforts by validating outputs, testing changes, and helping maintain high data accuracy standards.

• Provide project-based support and take the lead on assigned initiatives when required, ensuring deadlines and service expectations are met.

• At least 5 years of experience in application support, data analysis, or a related data warehouse environment.
• Hands-on data warehouse experience is required.
• Minimum 4 years of experience using Python for scripting, automation, or data processing.
• Strong experience working with Oracle and SQL Server databases, including advanced query development and troubleshooting.
• Proven ability to create reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Power BI and related Microsoft reporting tools.
• Solid understanding of ETL concepts and practical exposure to SSIS, SSRS, or similar data integration and reporting technologies.
• Demonstrated experience working within Agile methodologies, along with strong communication, documentation, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.
• Exposure to cloud platforms, AI frameworks or libraries, and QA practices would be considered an asset.
