THE ROLE:

Our client is seeking a Data Developer to join a collaborative and growing data team. This role offers the opportunity to work across the full data lifecycle, including data ingestion, transformation, analytics modeling, and cloud-based infrastructure. You'll contribute to the development of scalable data solutions while partnering with experienced team members to continuously enhance the organization's data platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines that move and process data within a cloud-based environment
• Develop and enhance data models, semantic layers, and reporting structures to support business decision-making
• Monitor data pipelines and data quality, identifying and resolving issues as they arise
• Optimize queries, workflows, and data models to improve performance, scalability, and cost efficiency
• Support and guide business users in effectively leveraging analytics tools and data assets
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and accessible data solutions

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

We’re seeking outstanding professionals who possess the following skills and qualifications:

Top Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform, including BigQuery
• Hands-on expertise with LookML, data modeling, and Looker development
• Advanced SQL skills, including query development, database objects, and relational database concepts
• Experience building and supporting data pipelines using Python and Apache Airflow or Cloud Composer
• Working knowledge of cloud security, IAM, APIs, monitoring, and cloud-native services
• Ability to troubleshoot data quality, performance, and integration challenges
• Experience optimizing queries and improving data processing efficiency
• Strong communication skills with the ability to support and educate business stakeholders

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with query optimization and performance tuning is a definite asset
• Exposure to API management tools such as Apigee is a valued skill
• Knowledge of Jaspersoft reporting and administration is a plus
• Familiarity with AI-powered analytics and data solutions is desirable
