Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Data Architect to support a large-scale ERP reporting and analytics initiative. This is a 4-month contract based in North Vancouver, BC, requiring full-time onsite presence. The successful consultant will assess existing data sources, define reporting and analytics architecture, establish integration strategies, and develop a roadmap to improve business visibility across finance, inventory, procurement, and operational functions.

This role will partner closely with business and technology stakeholders to improve data accessibility, reporting consistency, and decision-making capabilities across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess current-state business reporting, data flows, and information architecture.
• Identify and document key enterprise data sources and system dependencies.
• Design scalable data models and reporting architectures to support operational and financial reporting requirements.
• Define source-to-target mappings, data integration approaches, and data governance standards.
• Develop architecture roadmaps supporting inventory management, cost reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and KPI reporting.
• Evaluate opportunities for automation and improved data accessibility.
• Establish data quality, validation, and reconciliation frameworks.
• Produce architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and implementation recommendations.
• Collaborate with business leaders, analysts, and technical teams to align reporting capabilities with operational needs.
• Provide guidance on reporting and analytics best practices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Information Architecture, or Enterprise Data Management.
• Experience supporting ERP environments such as Oracle, SAP, Dynamics 365, JDE, or similar enterprise platforms.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing, reporting architectures, data modeling, and integration frameworks.
• Experience supporting finance, procurement, inventory, or operational data domains.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation capabilities.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.

Preferred Experience

• ERP transformation, stabilization, or optimization initiatives.
• Power BI, Azure Data Services, or enterprise analytics platforms.
• Data governance and master data management initiatives.
