We are looking for a Data Analyst to join a wholesale distribution organization in Toronto, Ontario on a Long-term Contract. In this role, you will turn complex business data into clear insights, practical reporting tools, and scalable solutions that support stronger decision-making across the business. You will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to improve visibility into performance, streamline data-heavy processes, and identify opportunities to create measurable operational value.

Responsibilities:
• Partner with business teams to gather reporting needs, define analytical objectives, and translate operational questions into data-driven solutions.
• Build and maintain dashboards, visual reports, and performance summaries that provide clear insight into key business trends and outcomes.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources for recurring and ad hoc reporting.
• Identify manual or inefficient workflows and develop automated reporting approaches that improve accuracy, consistency, and turnaround time.
• Support project delivery by documenting requirements, validating outputs, and helping implement analytics solutions that align with business priorities.
• Analyze datasets to uncover patterns, exceptions, and opportunities that can inform process improvements and strategic planning.
• Work with stakeholders to improve reporting standards, strengthen data usability, and expand access to meaningful business intelligence.
• Explore new tools, technologies, and analytical methods that can increase the value of the organization’s data assets.
• Proven experience in data analysis, business reporting, or a related analytical role.
• Strong hands-on ability with SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and analysis.
• Demonstrated experience creating dashboards and data visualizations for business users.
• Proficiency with Microsoft tools commonly used for analysis and reporting.
• Ability to interpret business needs and convert them into clear analytical deliverables.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on practical, measurable business impact.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
