THE ROLE:

We are seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to help protect and strengthen a growing organization’s technology environment. In this hands-on role, you will monitor threats, respond to security incidents, and support ongoing security improvements across infrastructure and cloud environments. The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years of proven experience within the Canadian cybersecurity landscape and will play a key role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks while supporting the organization’s security framework.

Key responsibilities include:

• Monitoring and responding to security alerts and incidents using tools such as CrowdStrike, Qualys, and Azure Defender.
• Managing patching processes to maintain secure and up-to-date systems.
• Supporting backup validation and disaster recovery readiness.
• Conducting vulnerability assessments and supporting remediation efforts.
• Developing and maintaining cybersecurity policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Delivering security awareness initiatives, including phishing simulations and training.
• Partnering with IT and business teams to identify and mitigate security risks.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

We’re looking for talented cybersecurity professionals who bring the following skills, experience, and qualifications:

• 2+ years of cybersecurity experience within the Canadian cybersecurity landscape.
• Hands-on experience with CrowdStrike, Qualys, and Azure Defender.
• Experience working with EDR/XDR tools, patch management solutions, and backup/recovery systems.
• Strong understanding of network, endpoint, and cloud security principles.
• Experience with vulnerability management and incident response processes.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, and CIS.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Relevant certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CISM, or Microsoft Security are considered an asset.
